Rules For Open Burning

The following open burning shall be permitted without authorization from the Fire Chief:

1. Outdoor Cooking

2. Campfires

3. Burning in Covered Burn Barrels

4. Training for Fire Departments

For all other burns, please refer to Ordinance 09-03, the ordinance to regulate fires. Copies can be obtained by contacting the Town Hall at 262-594-5800.

Animal Control

If you have found a stray dog, and have it contained, please contact the Humane Animal Welfare Society at 262-542-8851, or after hours (5:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m.) at 262-993-9811, leave a message and your call will be returned. Please note, the dog must be contained.

Dog Licenses

All dogs in the Town of Eagle over five months old must be licensed by April 1st each year. The fee to license a dog that is not spayed or neutered is $12. The fee for altered male or female dogs is $8. There is an extra $5 charge if dogs are not licensed by the deadline. Dog license applications are available at the Town Hall or by mail. For more information, call the Town Treasurer at 594-5800.
